I have a 3D wall model on Abaqus where I am putting a displacement at the top edge of the wall in order to get a plot of base shear vs displacement at top edge of the wall. The base of the wall is full fixed at the bottom. My question is simple. How do I go about extracting the base shear at the bottom of the wall?
Using the probe, I can see that there is a base shear available of each of the nodes at the bottom surface. Is it a matter of getting the RF3 values (Shear in on Z axis) for all the bottom nodes and adding them up to get complete base shear?
As I am new to Abaqus, any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, you could do this by adding up all those forces.
One alternattive would be to attach your wall to a surface (using a tie constraint) - then you can directly read off reaction forces for the whole bottom at the reference point
