I have two streams: feed and effluent with known temperature, pressure and composition. How do I estimate the heat duty of the reaction using rgibbs? Techncally I could just compare enthalpies of two streams but I'd like some more "elegant" solution.

Using RGIBBS, the enthalpy of reaction depends on the standard enthalpy of formation of the educts and the products.
If you model the Reactor setting the output temperature and pressure equal to the inlet, you can attach a heat stream to the reactor that gives you the heat of reaction. Be careful if you have phase change between feed and products!
Thank you, Marcus. Hovewer I find that net heat flow is constant not matter how effluent composition changes and is not equal to the estimate I'm getting by comparing enthalpy flow. That's incorrect result. Maybe I should adjust block parameters to non default ones?
