But I wish to make the mixture lean, only during deceleration phase.
During deceleration, the throttle valve is closed which activates the idle circuit in the carburetor.
As idle circuit supplies rich mixture, this increases HC and CO emissions along with fuel being unnecessarily burned.
Idle circuit is governed by the pilot jet in a carburetor. The supply of air to the pilot jet is from the air bleed circuit via the air screw of the carburetor.
If I think of making the mixture excessively lean with the help of air screw, can I restrict the amount of fuel being supplied to the engine through the pilot jet during deceleration?
