How to easily and cheaply measure the energy produced by a plasma gas?

I am trying to find an easy, economical way to determine the amount of energy, or temperature being produced by a plasma at ambient temperature, in an atmosphere of normal air, at sea level. Or an approximation of the temperature of said plasma that takes place in a normal atmosphere.
