Hi Friends, A question came to my mind that after completion of PhD, if a scholar is not into tteaching and doing a corporate job, How he/she can continue research? How to write book chapters.
Hi! You could apply for 'research only' positions or a post-doc. Then you will not have to do teaching. If you recently finished your PhD a post-doc would be the best option! Good luck with your research.
To be honest, it is difficult if not next to impossible. Classroom-based research is a very serious business that requires expertise, relevant knowledge, and rigorous analysis of data. I do not think an admin can make a quality-oriented researcher.
Rohit Sadana Applying to be a postdoc is your best solution. Otherwise, you can be a research staff at a university : research associate, researcher, senior reseacher...These positions are usually paid with research grants, so you won't be acknowledged as PI or co-researcher, your name appears in publications though. I Some people also go as freelancers. However the affiliation to an academic institution is a must as it gives access to funds, infrastructure and credibility.
