I have been using Surfseis for MASW inversion. I want to run the inversion with elevation data incorporated. Is there are any option to import elevation data and then run inversion?
Or any other software which consider elevation for SURFACE WAVE inversion.
You cannot include the elevation into the inversion because the numerical model is defined with flat and horizontal layers (this is the theory used to produce the numerical model). I do not know any model taking into account the elevation. The elevation is applied once the inversion is done by translating the results (vertical shear wave velocity) along the vertical axis.
Yes, you actually can. You can do that through the tools menu and assign elevations option. Please refer to the user manual V5 pages 5-10, discussing how to import elevation data for each receiver and adjustment on your initial model.
