when i do band ratio for ASTER band 3 and divided it by band 7, a default message is appear tells band size not match. but when i read different articles and papers they successfully processed the band ratio using different scenes of satellite data.

The band 3 has 15 meters resolution and band 7 has 30 meters resolution.
Before band ratio, you must transform band 3 resolution to 30 meters.
Basic Tools - Resize Data - Band 3 - Set output file dims - 30*30 - ok
Than run band ratio (7& resized 3)

Before conducting band ratio process, use the layer stacking to resolve your problem.

thanks for your kind suggestion, another friend from my department also suggest the same process (layer stacking) for band ratio. Have we resize 30m into 10m band resolution and also does it effect our final product?
It depends on your goal. For example we do this technique in geological projects and it doesn’t make any problem.
