I think that sites like ReseachGate could be the future of distributing articles and other research documents. I have studied the copyright transfer agreements I have signed during the last year (e.g. Springer, ACM, IEEE and some journals) and they have restrictions as we all know. As a former banker I take these agreements very seriously and will not violate them. I do not want to pay fees for the free right to distribute my articles, which is possible with some publishers. Ability to distribute early versions, to send articles to researchers, to write updates or to publish articles after delay are helpful. Have you any further advice, how to make articles available to possible readers.

I have thought to have a list of my contributions with abstracts and to include that list as a document into ResearchGate to show how each of the contributions is available to researchers. If I'm not allowed to upload the text to ResearchGate, I could indicate that the interest viewer may get the text from me by asking or by some other means. Do you think that this kind of approach would work?
