At first, I would like to thank you for looking for this question. I am currently looking for a solution that I can disperse aluminum nanoparticles(has a natural oxide layer) in a solvent. I can't use any organic surfactant as the addition of the organic solvent will affect my final synthesize step. Is there a way to solve it?

Probe sonication or sonication bath were shown to be sufficient method for dispersing of metals and metal oxides nanoparticles.

Metal/ metal oxide particles can be dispersed in solvents but not dissolved. Ethanol/ methanol or water can be very well used for this purpose. Add your particle and sonicate it for better dispersivity.

I completely agree with prof. Hassan. You can use a suitable probe sonication with different ( frequencies and power) with enough time to dispersion of nanoparticles.
