Recently 5G fronthaul networks are the most appropriate solutions to tackle and satisfy the quality and capacity demands in urban or high density areas. However, you must be more specific in your question, so that other researcher can more precisely answer you.
What do you have for infrastructure in this area? This is the key. With nothing at all, you are limited to satellite. If you have electric utilities you can use Broadband Over Power Lines (BPL). If you have internet, you have few limitations.
The current scenario refers for the vehicular ad-hoc network. Vehicles and road side unit can be utilized for the communication between wireless devices. The communication in VANET is classified into 4 categories like V2V, V2I, V2D, and V2C. VANET will be more suitable for the development of wireless network in the urban area.
Md. Humayun Kabir It really depends on the type of use case you are intending to build your wireless network for. I believe, it is not that straight forward to decide as each type of wireless network solution has its own set of pros and cons. If you are looking for wireless solution for Wireless Sensor Networks/IoT, you can probably consider an LPWAN solution such as LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, or Sigfox that offers fairly long radio coverage on the cost of low data rate communication (unsuitable for multimedia traffic). If mobility is not one of your concerns, you could consider WIFI like solutions such as IEEE802.11ah.

Husnain is correct. Further to his answer, the amount and type of mobility must be considered. Generally, wireless solutions apply to three categories; Fixed wireless (no mobility), pedestrian, and true mobility (high speed). In the USA 60% of mobile traffic appears to be video traffic to users who are stationary. As a result, there is a trend towards WiFi and small cells to provide coverage and allow the large cell towers to be free for true mobility.
