I am investigating a field failure due to wear of a SAE52100 ball bearing over Titanim. I have the failed part so I can determine the total wear volume in mm^3. However, I don't have the time it took wear the part out. The part is experiencing random vibrations and there is an undesirable additional pressure on the ball that would have lead to ball pressing against the Ti component. How would I go about determining a. Force caused due to random vibrations. b. Additional side load thats's acting upon the ball given that I know the rate of wear assuming certain time period?
