I am doing a research on new technologies and I would like to know how to determine the percentage of people that intend to use a new technology.
I know about models like TAM, UTAUT, UTAUT2 and their extension however I think that those models are more designed to be able to explain the intention to use and not determine it.
Are there any standards or surveys or models that I can use to detect that percentage?

By that i mean that the models are used the explain the factors that determine the intention to use (to explain how much factors like perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use affect the intention to use) while i want to be able to determine the actual intention to use from a survey and by that i mean i want to send a survey to around 500-1000 persons and see how many actually intend to use the new technology.
So, the basic question is how to measure intention to use? Since that is basically an "attitude," I suspect that any attempt to measure it will always be inexact because people are simply not able to predict their own behavior with a high degree of certainty.
I examined the UTAUT2 and several of its subscales seem to require direct experience with the technology. However, if you are working with a sample that is highly knowledgeable about the technology in question, then you could probably reword those items to reflect perceptions rather than actual use (e.g., instead of "I find..." to "I would find...").

Otherwise i should use the TAM? or it also requires people to direct experience with the technology?

I think TAM is for employees and not for consumers / customers so which model should i be using if the sample didn't interact with the technology?
As the names states, the Technology Acceptance Model is a model, not a measure.
