For a solar cell consisting of multiple layers, I have calculated the reflectance, transmittance, and absorptance of the total cell using Transfer Matrix Method (TMM). I am now trying to calculate the short circuit current density Jsc. I couldn't find any paper that explains how to calculate generation rate or Jsc using absorptance obtained from TMM. Can you please help me find where to start?
Is it possible to calculate Jsc just from the information i have (reflectance, extinction/absorption coefficient, and AM1.5G spectrum)? Or would I need more parameters of material properties?

I believe, you need more information. For Jsc the number of electron hole pairs - separated within the space charge region - is important. The following steps you must consider:
- Determine the extension and the depth of the space charge region - determined by the position of the electric field in your solar cell.
- Calculate the portion of absorbed photons within this range - this determines the number of primary separated electron hole pairs.
- Determine the separation efficiency of there generated electron hole pairs - space charge recombination can strongly reduce the number of separated pairs.
This is a complex task and sometime it is better to measure these data. I hope, I could help you in this field.

Dear Eungkyun Kim,
You can't calculate the Jsc from optical parameters. What you need to have electronic characteristics from solar cells. These parameters could get it from publications for solar cells if you can't get it from your lab.
