I have a thin film of nanoparticles, I would like to coat a thin transparent dielectric layer which allows covalent bond with antibodies. My lab can't perform automic layer deposition.... have anyone suggested method and materials. Thanks.
Have you considered depositing CYTOP or PVP, both of which can be solution deposited. These are not really thin dielectric layers (somewhat thick films are preferred to prevent pinholes)
that is depending on the kind of your particle and how the adhesion to substrate is good. If you mean good dielectric material, Alumina is very good one and can be deposited by sol-gel technique.
