In RG co-authors are added automatically. It is not giving the auto complete list as soon as we start typing the co-authors name. So RG link the Co-author with wrong co-author. Can anyone help me to remove wrong co-author and add the correct one.
As wrong co-author is added, when we click on the name it takes to different profile.
The solution is we just need to add co-Author name and researchgate will automatically connect it to that co-author profile by asking them.
This indirect method worked for me, but after a few days.
1: Go to the research gate page of your ghost coauthor.
2: Copy his/her url like if I am the ghost author it will be (https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Osama_Rahil)
3: Now go to Contact us at bottom of any RG page (like this page)
5: Go to bottom of contact page: What would you like to contact us about?
6: Select others
7: In subject write: Wrong author
8: In message name the wrong author and paste the URL copied (at No.2 above)
9: send
10: You will receive an acknowledgement after 2-3 days (it is not automatic, it is read by some developer)
11: The ghost author diappears.
12: Now send a thanx email to them by same process & request them to please put a remove author button (KILL THE GHOIST) some where.
