I am trying to connect two beams by scripting in Abaqus, I have connected the beams by Spring Element type 2, and I want to give different stiffness to the spring in each direction. Can anyone knows how can I do it?

Regarding your question, maybe instead of a Spring Element, could you use a Connector? In that way, you can define the stiffness for each direction by setting an uncoupled case. To know more about the connectors, here you have a reference:

Then, for scripting, try to:
1. solve your problem with a simple case in the Abaqus CAE environment.
2. save the file (once you finished your toy example).
3. locate the journal file (*.jnl). Copy it and change its extension to a Python file (*.py).
4. Open the resulting Python file in editor and check the commands that where involved.
Everytime I have to add a new command on my scripts, I follow this sequence.
