I was trying to imaging the 2D materials with aberration corrected TEM, including MoS2, ReS2 and graphene.

However, I found serious carbon contamination when zoom in at the region of interest.

I just follow the standard procedure to prepare the specimen: preparing 2D material/ethanol suspension, and disperse them onto a copper grid with lacey Carbon film after 30mins sonication.

How can get rid of the contamination given the beam sensitive nature of the 2D materials?
