Hello,

I have a reaction where a tertiary amine is reacting with hydrogen peroxide to form an amine oxide. I am studying the kinetics of this reaction and would like to decompose any hydrogen peroxide in sample before analysis. Currently, I am using sodium sulfite; however, I am worried that the sodium sulfite might also help reduce the amine oxide formed back to tertiary amine. Is this a valid concern? Are there any alternatives to decomposing the excess peroxide?
