Good morning,
I try to indicate panel data with a quarterly time variable in stata but I always get a message of missing values.
After, I had converted the variable date (dd/mm/yyyy) from excel into a time variable date1, I declare the panel data this way:
. tsset Companynumb date1, quarterly
panel variable: Companynumb (unbalanced)
time variable: date1, 5178q2 to 7096q1, but with gaps
delta: 1 quarter
There is always the gaps in the time variable. How can I solve this problem?

Read the error message carefully, and read the first section of the Stata manual on setting up panel data. There's something wrong with your data that we can't really know without looking at it.
