I met a problem on dealing with the 2d exsy spectrum. I studied a lithium mixture with 2d exsy. I use the 3-pulse noesy pulse sequence offered by topspin software. It really works well with the sample which has a short T2. While I use it to detect a sample with longer T2, some noise signal appears. It looks like some vortex and it is symmetric on the F1 coloumn. I searched the google. Some says it is related to T1 noise. But i think there should be another issue induces the vortex noise since the difference of the tweo samples are the length of T2. What do you think of this problem and do you know how to solve this issue? Many thanks.

How long ist you aquisition time? Did the fid decay fully?
If no, try a longer aquisition time. For normal Noesyph sequence within topspin you do not need to worry about a long aquiisition, because there is no decoupling. If powcheck refuses long auisition time, use -Dlacq as zg option.
try 0.2 seconds = 200 ms. Good luck
Kristof Grohe thanks Mr Groke. I have tried enough long acquisition time in F2 dimension. In F1 dimension, the acquisition time depends on the swh and increment delay parameter, i think these parameters should be adjusted to meet the rotor synchronization. I set the swh in F1 equal to the speed of rotor.
Dear Shiyu. You are right with respect to the indirect dimension. This is because you want the spinning sideband to fold on your main signal. But if you can increase the indirect aquisition time this does not change the spectral width.
