How to cultivate mixed autotrophic bacteria from activated sludge?

I am trying to cultivate autotrophic denitrifying bacteria from activated sludge to use in a batch experiment to reduce nitrate but I am not clear about it exact procedure. Can anyone guide me how to cultivate mixed autotrophic bacteria from activated sludge?

Are you very particular in using autotrophic denitrifiers for this purpose? Most denitrifiers are heterotrophs. You can isolate heterotrophic bacteria and check for reduction of nitrate to nitrite and N2.
