Hi Everyone,

I hope everyone is fine, I am currently doing pyrolysis of my sample for converting it into carbon, using tube furnace under argon atmosphere. There is no vacuum pump setup in my equipment to remove oxygen and other gases before argon gas purging. is it possible to create inert atmosphere using argon gas with out creating any vacuum inside the tube? because when I did my characterization i found oxide species in my converted sample and also at higher temperatures the carbon content is very less (heavy loss in my powder sample)

is there any strategies like controlling the flow rate _ L/min or other factors to attain Inert atmosphere.

I am eagerly waiting for you valuable response.

Thankyou
