Dear reader,

i am simulation the flow and mass transport across an iregular surface with OpenFoam. So far i have user simpleFoam to calculate a steadyState solution and then used scalarTransportFoam to simulated the transport of a dimensionless scalar.

Now i am required to implement a flux from a dissolving surface. The flux will be [mol/m²s]. I've been told that " Using the density and the molar mass of the fluid, you may use a simple velocity boundary condition." But i dont understand how to do this in OpenFoam, because as of yet i have only worked with incompressible fluids.

So the questions are:

Which boundary condition can i use in OpenFoam to implement this flux? And which solver can i use to simulate the transport of the molar mass?

Any help is much appreciated.

With best regards,

Robert
