Hope you all are doing well.
Well, my question is about file formatting, for example, unintentionally, I click on the tab "Always open Fastaq file as a text file and now I even download it several times but my system always recognizes the file as a text file rather than Fasta file. I spent time to re-change the file format from the setting but it's not working at all, unfortunately, should I need to re-install my Windows 10 or any alternative way?
The second question is about installing tools such as FastaQc, Bowtie, or Plink using Cygwin. I'm not sure if downloading such tools needs access to a server e.g. Galaxy, or I can simply download without any access. I don't have access to the server and this would be great if I can run the analysis on small data set to get my hands dirty with a normal 8GB RAM system.
