We have waste stream of sodium suphite and sodium bisulphite from which we want to get sodium sulphate. Stream contain around 12% sodium sulhite and 10% sodium bisulphite.
Anhydrous sodium sulfite is stable in dry air. In the presence of moist air, it is rapidly oxidized to sodium sulphate. It decomposes at about 600 ° C into sulphate and sodium sulphide.
