Climate data operators (CDO) installed in ubuntu. The problem is this command (cdo -f nc copy landslide.nc4 land.nc) can't convert nc4 to nc.

Dear Award, to convert Netcdf4 (nc4) to netcdf you can use this command:

nccopy -k classic input.nc4 output.nc

cdo -f nc copy landslide.nc4 land.nc should work as well. What is the error (if any)? How do you know that land.nc is not a classic netcdf (.nc) file? Without understanding what you are encountering it is difficult for anyone to answer your question. Nevertheless, try the nccopy command that Mengouna has suggested above.
