In order to work in CasaXPS, i need the file format to be in .vms. But the data i have acquired is in .txt file format. How to convert from .txt to .vms file format ?
Anna we can crack open the software I've a open lincense which works to export result as a photo.. but for me vamas blocks aren't displayed in the casaxps software only graph appears. Do you have any solution
@Dear Dr. Tholkappiyan, first save the .txt file with .asc file extension and then follow the steps i have mentioned earlier. The demo version itself will convert the .asc file into .vms. Im currently using it.
1. Put ASCII data in an Excel spreadsheet, 2. Save as tab delimited file (.txt), put it into a directory by itself 3. In CasaXPS, in Convert dialog, enter a new file name with the extension as follows: filename.arx -xy 4. Press Open
To complete the answer from Murugesan Balaji : you can also convert tab delimited CSV files to VAMAS by using CASAXPS. Just paste your CSV file in a dedicated subfolder, then use the Convert dialog and make sure to input a name with the following extension : .irf
Hello Gaulthier, I am following the same procedure to convert my FTIR spectra in tab delimites csv file, but finiding the message "illegal number of data points per ordinate set". Can you please suggest me what wrong I am doing? Please note that I have a licensed version of CasaXPS Software from my University.

Dear, I am trying to follow your procedure to convert my file like as Excel>text file>save as with irf extention then tried to convert in CasaXPS but it showed 'rescale' all the time. Tried also changing the parameter from display parameter. Note: i am using free version of casaXPS from online. Do you have any idea about that? Mohsen Hashemzadeh
