How do I obtain /compute the eigenfunctions (wavefunctions) of unperturbed nanoparticle with inner radius (a),outer radius(b) of a complete spherical particle with a thickness (b-a=t) loaded with shell of metallic material with potential being zero and infinity elsewhere.

It is not difficult to write a convergent perturbation theory using unperturbed wave functions.Please see my paper
in Phys.Rev.A (1990).

Thanks for your assistance and willingness to mentor and guide me.
However,the problem in question requires a spherical coordinate(r,theta,phi) to for its wavefunction of unperturbed state:H*wavefunction=E*wavefunction since it is a spherical dome shell which requires spherical coordinates for its analysis.Then part of the spherical shape is cut-off and replace with a dielectric material of constant potential knowing full well that the shell is metallic.How do I solve and construct the basis function of this perturbed spherical dome shell from a complete spherical metallic shell with potential inside it being zero and elsewhere infinity.Find attached the geometry of the problem for your guidance and analysis.

just write the solution in the unperturbed basis, use this expression in the Schrödinger equation, impose the boundary conditions and solve for the coefficients.
