Dear All,

I would like to compare if the diversity of dragonflies in a series of urban ponds characterized by having well developed aquatic vegetation is greater than a different set of ponds without this vegetation. Each group is made up of pools of different sizes.

Each pond will be sampled twice during the flight period of the dragonflies.

I had thought of using some index of diversity, such as Shanon-Weawer, calculate the mean of one group and another and then evaluate whether the difference is significant or not, but I do not know if it would be a correct method.

Could any of you guide me on this?

Thank you very much for your attention,

Ricardo Martín
