If I understand true, you mean ways to collect accurate and more objective feedback, don't you. According to me, statements are essential to collect objective enough feedback from students. Your statements should ask directly what it is looking for and should not be too subjective to eliminate lots of different answers - feedback. Also, after gathering enough amount of data, you may eliminate manually some feedback sounding not objectivelly given and perform some realiability tests over the remaining data to ensure that your collected feedback is objective enough.
