After the removal of piezoelectric sensors from the coupled surfaces, the sensing surface has to be accurately cleaned and the layer of the coupling material (e.g., silicone or epoxy) has to be fully removed.

Is it safe to use non-aggressive chemicals or it is better to only use water? Dry scratching of the coupling material (e.g., by use of paper or cloth) can damage the sensor?

I tried to check online, also on the sites of producers of piezoelectric sensors, but without any success.

Many thanks in advance for the time dedicated to my question.
