I understand that the main design objective is to achieve a narrow range of switching frequency while adjusting the gain with minimum losses as much as possible but I don't know on what basis should I choose the value of the series resonant frequency at the beginning of the design. BTW, I'm working on a grid connected PV application.

At the very first step is to chose Q (Quality factor) value which is typically between 0,1 and 1, to be selected as Q=0.5 seems to satisfy the voltage gain requirement range from 0.8 to 1.2.
Second step is to select m which is a static parameter between 3-12.
m=(Lr+Lm)/Lr.
Lr= Leakage (Resonant) inductor
Lm =magnetizing inductance
The rest is only to be fullfilled activities.
