Anyone please tell me how to check the critical value for Spearman's rank correlation coefficient (r) for the value n=167? at 0.01 and 0.05 level of significance.
Regards,
Kunal
calculate the r for a critical value of z = 2.58 (alpha = .01) or z = 1.96 (alpha = .05)
z = r x sqrt(167 -1), sqrt (167-1) = 12.8841
r = 2.58/ 12.8841 = 0.20 for aplha = .01
r = 1.96/12.8841 = 0.15 for alpha = .05
Good point Jos

r = [exp(2z) - 1] / [exp(2z) +1]
