In an aerobic digestion process how to estimate and quantify that the microorganism are active and not in the decay phase. What are the parameters that need to be monitored
Dear Pr. Nitin Raut; I apologize for the response delay "the weekend".
Generally at the end of digestion there is a decrease in biogas production and consequently a decrease in microbial growth.
The method of detecting this growth and the parameters that need to be monitored is quoted by Mr. Kalloum S. et al. In their article entitled "Biogas production from the sludge of the municipal wastewater treatment plant of Adrar city (southwest of Algeria) Biomass and Bioenergy, vol 35, no.7, pp. 2554-2560, 2011. doi: 10.1016 / j.biombioe.2011.02.012
Also by Michael H. Gerardi in the book entitled " The Microbiology of Anaerobic Digesters"
