Dear All,
I have an stl file (ascii format) which contains two solid patches present in it. Currently, the "solid name" is default named as "solid ascii". How to change the solid name without opening it manually. I want the name edit to be automated.
I need to change the solid name since it will be further used in OpenFoam snappyHexMesh for simulation. I tried editing using numpy-stl, but dint get through. So, presently editing manually.
I am working in Ubuntu. So, if there is any leads in changing the solid name either in terminal or though any other ways, leads will be appreciated.
You can use sed to find and replace text in files in Linux shell.
Can you share your .stl file?
Nils Wagner I have attached the stl file along with this response. Sorry for the delay. Both the solid files have same default name as "ascii".
