I did a simulation on Ansys Fluent for unsteady case. Free surface water, passes through a porous medium, I am changing the porosity of the medium (0.3--0.9), but nothing changes in the results. Any suggestions??
you can change the viscous and inertial drag coefficients using different the porosity of the medium
Dear Houssam, what velocity formulation do you use?
If you also need velocity profile in your porous media (more accurate), try to use physical velocity formulation that includes porosity into the governing equations.
