Experimental statements: TEM was employed to obtain the bright field (BF) image, SAED, and HRTEM without tilted operation. Further investigation shows some solute atoms in hcp-Ti matrix induced the dislocation reaction (in form of stacking faults) on the {1-100} prismatic planes. Possible options have been reported by many researchers, but this specific reaction is not clear.
Key question: Using BF image, corresponding diffraction pattern, and HRTEM, how to determine the burger vector reaction?
Hi Hao, HRTEM without tilt operation?! Then you have to do with JEMS or Mac Tempas .... a contrast simulation for your presumed dislocation configurations with your incident beam direction, what ever it should be. Now you can experiment and simulation compare.
But tilt the sample would be easier and a time-honored diffraction contrast analysis would be more useful. See the review in:

Hi Hao, check for additional spots in SAED and try to index them. It may give basic information regarding the orientation of the slip planes. Usually HRTEM images are taken after aligning to a low index plane. It will be good to repeat the experiment after tilting to low index plane and compare with the non-tilted images and SAED.
