I guess everyone is distracted with the outbreak, so I'll give you the answer from a metrology/calibration perspective. The short answer is maybe.

There certainly IS something to calibrate. Looking at the technical specifications, I see:

Temp Block range 0-100°C - You may want to calibrate the whole range or only what you use

These Things can be calibrated:

Absolute accuracy: ±0.2°C

Uniformity of Thermal Block temperature ±0.15°C

Average Heating Rate 3.3°C/s

Maximum Heating rate 3.5°C/s

Average cooling rate 2.1°C/s

Max Cooling Rate 2.5°C/s

Hot Cover Temperature 105°C±1.0°C

The difficulty comes in the term "calibration." It refers to two different things. Most people I know in metrology consider a verification of performance a "calibration." and this is what you're referring to. Many of the engineers I know think calibration is STRICTLY when a unit is adjusted to within specifications. Doubtless this is what your vendor is referring to.

What YOU NEED for your lab is an accredited certificate indicating the unit is performing to specifications on Temperature, Uniformity and time. About the only way I know to do this is with a multiplex data acquisition unit. (DAQ). You'd need to have 8-9 temperature probes placed around the heating block all recording the data simultaneously. Top, middle, bottom, left, center, right. One placed near the probe indicating temperature, and probably one on the "Hot Cover." Use a half second or 1 second sample rate. Take the temperature up and down across the range, stopping at whatever critical points you use, but making sure to get your minimum use and maximum use temperatures. Depending on criticality I usually use 5-9 testing points. Some people use as few as three (min-max and halfway between.)

Finally, take your DAQ data and put it into a spreadsheet of some sort (Labview if you have it, Excel or whatever if not.) When you graph that (Time- x,Temp 0-100- y) you should see at one second intervals the temperature rising in nice slope of 3.5°, plateauing at your set points, then dropping again. Now your unit has ideally been connected to the same computer your DAQ is so you can compare the data across the range. This is why Labview is probably best to see this both in real time and to compare the set points to what the SyCycler 96 is saying the temp is, vs what the DAQ is recording.

Is it adjustable? Probably. But it might need to be repaired to fix it. What if your temp rise is 7°C? That could be a problem. What if 37°C is actually 44°C? There is almost definitely an offset to the device, if no ability to adjust it.

That said, you can get a 3rd party Calibration with ISO 17025 accreditation to do this for you. The calibration lab would be have all the equipment and software to do this calibration for you in probably 2-3 hours and get you the paperwork either the same day or next day. You may need to request the graphs. Usually 3rd party labs do not provide that. But I like them.
