I am new in GC-FID and TCD measurement technique. I will analyze a gas stream at high temperature above 190 oC in the GC-FID system. I want to construct a calibration curve for the mixture of components. But two of my components are in gaseous phase (each 1% in N2 gas) and others are in liquid phase (like ethanol, acetaldehyde, 1-butanol etc.). Moreover, I have checked that none of the components has exactly the same retention time (well separated).

I have gas-bag also and the system is connected with heating reactor, where I will use N2 gas as a carrier gas.

The system is mixture of components and N2 as a carrier gas. I have GC-FID and GC-TCD to detect various components and gases.

How do I calibrate my GC-FID for the system?

In advance, Thanks
