After Curve fitting of XPS data how to calculate the atom percentage like Carbon and Oxygen (%C ...& %O...)
The amount of carbon and oxygen present in your system could be quantified using the following equation.
C/O = (IC * FO) / (IO * FC)
where,
IC and IO are areas under the peaks for C 1s and O 1s respectively.
FC and FO are the relative symmetric factors (R.S.F) for C 1s and O 1s respectively.
Apart from, it would be better to quantify in the same instrument from where the data were collected.
