I need to calculate the amount of Jsc for solar cell using quantum mechanics approach. As the Jsc is the integration of the Air mass spectrum, is it possible to calculate it according to the following approach:
1. Calculate the spectrum of desired system using TD(DFT) method
2. Integrate the obtained spectrum
and if yes, the spectrum should be calculated for donor/acceptor system or just for donor?

First convert you spectrum into photon rates per unit wavelength; if N is number of photons in wavelengths L to L+dL, and you know the spectral power density WL for the wavelength L to L+dL, N = WL * L / (h * c) where h is Planck's constant and c is the speed of light. This will give you the MAXIMUM number of photons that will convert into electrons at that wavelength. Now you have to multiply that figure by the absorption coefficient for the absorber at wavelength L.Repeat this for the entire range of L in which you are interested, and add all the currents together. If the system is any good you should get at least 20mA per sq cm of absorber.
