If infusion was prepared by adding 2g of dry tea powder to 200mL boiling water (ratio of 1g per 100mL) for 10 minutes. It gives a factor of 100 for multiplication with instrumental concentration value (for ICP or FAAS measurement).
And if a decoction is to be prepared for same ratio and final volume remains 100mL after boiling (say for 30 minutes). What will be the multiplication factor for instrumental concentration value (for decoction)? Is it same as in infusion or it will be 50?

If the compound to be determined is not volatile, the total mass in the residue will remain identical after evaporation of the solvent. The concentration measured will however represent a smaller solution volume. The dilution factor with respect to the original infusion will thus have to change. If the volume is changed by a factor of X (1/2 in your case) then the dilution factor changes the same way.
