Dear All,

I've got a half-cylinder at the surface of the soil from which a dc curent leaks to a certain J in A/m.

A few meters away, I've got an earth grid that is only passive (no own current source). Please see attached sketch.

The question is: if I want to calculate (with an analytic approach, not by any finite elements tool) the potential at a point M located somewhere in the ground, is it possible or is it only a dream ? Of course, without the earth grid, it is quite easy. But with the earth grid, the soil is no longer homogeneous. For info, I'm able to calculate the potentials of the grid, but it is not enough to distinguish the contribution of the grid and this of the 1/2 cylinder on the potential at M.

Thanks to people who can bring any light on this.
