Hi all,
I'm planning a very simple tutorial for some school students. It involves measuring CO2 soil respiration in-situ. For this, I place incubation chambers with built-in rubber injection ports on the ground and wait for an hour. I'm measuring CO2 concentration using a mobile IRGA. My gas vials are evacuated and filled with He.
This system seems to work so far. I did some measurements on different soils. Each time I took a measurement at time 0 and after 60 minutes. However, I'm unsure how to do the calculation if I want to express the results as g CO2 per m² and hour. I found some online calculators, however, the output is in form of CO2 / m³. How would I turn that into m² in my case?
What would the formula look like? Most of the calculators don't include the formular they are actually using to calculate this.
Thank you all very much in advance.
