If I understood you correctly, I can suggest that in each module that will be used in your simulation scenario, calculate the individual moduleCpuLength, and add it to a global sum variable in the main file. Start the simulation run by computing GLOBALmoduleCpuLength/self.deviceMips.

My answer may not be very acceptable to you, but I suggest you take a slightly different look at the issue instead of emphasizing pre-processing.

I have two general suggestions:

1. Designing an expert system based on multi-objective or multi-parameter decision making to reach a reliable point in the problem based on expert opinions and before simulation

2. Use the ability to continuously generate genetic algorithms to achieve an acceptable interval for each parameter before simulation
