Hi

Just looking for steps to calculate average column amount (0-6 km altitude) dobson unit from from partial pressure. Given temperature and O3partial pressure at each pressure level. I tried calculating the average ozone column amount in dobson unit from given vertical profile: Ozone partial pressure= 16 mPa, temp = 31 deg cel at pressure level 1 1007.3; at pressure level 2 = 435, partial pressure2= 4.06, and temperature = -17.2 deg cel.

I tried calculating from (i) partial pressure to volume mixing ratio (ppb) (ii) vmr to number density (molecule cm-3)

But how to convert. (1 DU = 2.69 x 1019 molecules cm-2) (iii) number density to Dobson unit (DU)

I tried from the following links

1. http://www.met.reading.ac.uk/~sws05ajc/teaching/ozonesonde.pdf

2. http://www.temis.nl/data/conversions.pdf
