I'm using DSC 131evo, the heat flow is given by uV, and when performing peak area calculation, the heat is given by uV.s/mg. How to change this unit to J/mg or J/mol.
A heat flow DSC instrument doesn't directly provide enthalpy values in J/mg or J/mol. The general raw signal of a heat flow DSC is the difference of the thermal voltage between the sample and reference. Therefore, the raw signal of a heat flow DSC is the given in µV and the integrated area is given as µVs/mg. To obtain the desired enthalpy values in J/mg or J/mol, the instrument must be calibrated to obtain the calibration factor which refers to the relation between thermal voltage (µV) and the heat flow (mW).
So in your case, please calibrate your instrument and apply the obtained calibration on your measurements.
