Hi,

I have a dateset of approximately 120 kids aged 4-18 years , which diagnosed with Epilepsy.

The DV's are differences (20 pairs) between two cognitive measures: first measure at age1 and second measure at age2.

In addition, for each one of them I have information about these variables: gender, age of diagnosis , age at first measure (age1) , ongoing1 (time between age of diagnosis and age1) , age at second measure (age2) , ongoing2 (time between age of diagnosis and age2), test retest interval (ongoing2- ongoing1).

age and ongoing are time varying covariates. gender is a fixed covariate.

I want to know if there is a significant effect within subjects while controlling for age, ongoing and gender.

I built a mixed model in spss, but I don’t know if I did it right. in addition I don’t sure how to interpret the results.

Here is the syntax:

mixed CBCL_int_T by time gender with age ongoing

/fixed= time time*age time*ongoing time*gender age ongoing

/PRINT= SOLUTION

/repeated= time | subject(sub) covtype(cs).

* CBCL_int_T is one of my DV's.

The data are in long format.

The results are in the attached file.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

TIA,

Avshalom
