My question is about geochronolgical methods to apply for age dating of Cretaceous age (ophiolites) amphibolites, according to previous research specially on Paleozoic amphibolites U/Pb method have been applied. Can amphibolites from Cretaceous age will be suitable to study with U/Pb method? Please suggest me about rock weight and potential/possible mineral in amphibolites. Kindly share related papers which discussed same topic.

If there are potassium minerals in the ophiolite кщслы, for example, biotite, you can try isotope 39Ar-40Ar dating based on mica monofractions. Although if the rocks are metamorphosed, you can get the age of metamorphism.
