Let's say I want to optimize a new generator location in an existing power system. I need to know how's the system efficiency, reliability, etc with the new generator. Can I use ETAP or PowerFactory to do this? I usually use Matlab but I don't want to build my own load flow or reliability evalutaion codes. Can I use those software to calculate it?

Of course that you can use DIgSILENT software which I recommend to you. It has Power flow module and Reliability module. The location of a new generator is not easy problem. It is complex and there is no atumatic procedure in DIgSILENT to give you the right location and rated power of new generator. It depends of network configuration and loads in the system. So you need to use some other optimisation metod and check it in the DIgSILENT since in do not hav such module. The closed one is Optimal power flow module and reliability module. There are mayn different modules but location of generator can be check it manualy in iterative prosec depending what do you want to minimize the loses or maximize the reliability of the system with new generator.
Write an algorithm that can change the node definition inside while loop provided generator properties i.e., P, and V remains same.
You can use any of these provided it support your algorithm. If working in optimal location of DGs in distribution system then OpenDSS is a good tool. This is freely available and can be downloaded from https://sourceforge.net/projects/electricdss/

The answer offered by Saran Satsangi is excellant since the program OpenDSS
EPRI Distribution System Simulator i free and we have some graduated works of our students with it. You can iteratively solve the problem for placeing one or more generators in the network and as critera use minimum losses in the system. But I have doubt that it has reliability analysis module.??

Saran and Srete had good points. It seems that you are on a very early stage of research. The short answer for your question, there is no existing power system software could do such automatic work in one stop. You might need to understand how complex the problem is first, for example, to make sure the system reliable, you have to take many compliances into account. I would also suggest a few steps you might need to take:
1. Find a right software, there are many good free packages based on MATLAB, such as PSAT and MATPOWER (Cornell University); also other free commercial software with limited nodes, such as PSSE and PSLF.
2. Tackle with MATLAB code to automatically place a generator and load, and solve the power flow, of course, other aspects of the reliability test should also be considered. For the commercial software, it will depend on how they opensource their API, which could be used for the automatic process, but it will require your familiarity with the software.
